To test and hone the skills of newly hired lathe operators, the production department, in collaboration with the production workshop, organized a welding tool grinding competition in Workshop 7 on Saturday afternoon. Participation was voluntary.
The competition topics were uniformly assigned, and participants drew lots to determine their order, which also served as their scoring codes. Judges were unaware of the participants' works until all had completed their tasks.

Grinding Begins: Participants had to complete the tool grinding within a set time (5 minutes), adhering to operational norms and ensuring safety.

Submission of Works: After grinding, participants submitted their works along with their lot numbers, wrapped in tape for judging. Judges scored based on criteria such as the tool's front and rear angles, sharpness, surface finish, chip grooves, and grinding process standardization, with scores ranging from 1 to 10. The average score from two judges was taken.

Post-Competition Awards Ceremony: Winners were recognized and awarded with first, second, and participation prizes.

Post-Competition Exchange: Participants and judges exchanged experiences and techniques, sharing insights to enhance their tool grinding skills.

After the competition, an award ceremony is held to recognize and reward the winners. Prizes are awarded for first place, second place, and participation.
