Buckling-Restrained Brace
The Buckling-Restrained Brace is a passive control support used to enhance the stiffness and stability of structures. Its principle is to absorb seismic energy through the tensile and compressive deformation of the brace, preventing the structure from buckling. During an earthquake, the brace can generate axial forces and bending moments, effectively increasing the overall stiffness of the structure and improving its seismic performance. It mainly consists of an energy-dissipating core unit, non-bonding coating, filler material, and restraining sleeve.
